Alexander Rubinstain is american journalist who works for RT-America. During the Trump inauguration he choose to be present on the streets of Washington D.C. and cover anti Trump rally organized by Hillary Clinton supporters and financed by Soros Foundation.
Altough he was simply doing his duty as a reporter, Washington police arrest him together with other few journalists. The only bad thing those journalists were doing was reporting truthfully from this anti-Trump protests. Later the same day they were detained and charged with iniciating a riot?!
“The correspondent was performing his professional duty, he had a press card with him, and nonetheless, Alexander Rubinstein was in police custody for almost 24 hours,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, adding that the preliminary hearing in his case is scheduled for February 16.
Journalists can face up to 10 years in jail or a $25,000 fine if found guilty.
Knowing that several other journalists were arested (all of them working for media not controlled by Hillary and Soros) there is a question to whom Washington police ansver and which person is their commander in chief.
Detention of the journalist which is working for foreign news agency (in this case Russia Today) can seriously degrade the relation between USA and that countru, which in this case is Russian Federation.
after considering evidences against this journalists, William Miller, a spokesman for the US Attorney’s Office for Washington DC, said:
Today, my thoughts are with the journalists who are facing charges for doing their jobs, as well as with journalists imprisoned around the world.”
At least six journalists were arrested while reporting from anti-Trump rally and charged with felonies. Apart from Rubinstein and Engel, Jack Keller, a producer for the web documentary series “Story of America,” Shay Horse, an independent photojournalist, live-streamer Matt Hopard and freelance reporter Aaron Cantu – all of them independent journalists or working for media which is not under hillary or Soros umbrella – were detained and later released on the same charges.
The treatment of the media workers by police drew sharp criticism from the media industry and civil right organizations, but most importantly there were also reactions from the foreign powers in a very complicated moments for Trump administration.
Knowing all this we must ask. For whom Washington police is working and are they trying to undermine President Trump efforts for normalization of the foreign relations with Russian Federation?
